Whether the allocation of New Brunswick may change in the future?

Although it is yet to be confirmed whether the New Brunswick can overcome the difficult situation in the allocation of the province or not, but the press release today has noted that “the provincial government has presented his concern with the federal government, and the discussion is still going on”.

Late last month, Newfoundland and Labrador (like New Brunswick and all other provinces of Canada has allocated significantly limited the amount of immigrants in 2025) was able to recover the majority of newcomers to the province – level reduced by 50% of the previous level, up only 2.3% compared to the year 2024.

The province was able to accomplish this through a new agreement with the federal government, according to which Newfoundland and Labrador has agreed to receiving 290 immigrants in the next three years – a commitment that The minister of immigration Marc Miller did not hesitate to say that can restore the performance nomination of State for the provinces and territories.

While there are still many things to consider related to the allocation for the province of New Brunswick, it seems (based on the agreement of the federal government to the province, other) if New Brunswick also want to restore the allocation for the province, they may have to reach an agreement with IRCC about the reception of immigrants in the future.
