If you're new immigration Canada as a permanent resident, you can register for language courses for free for newcomers.

The class is based on the national standards official to assess and recognize the language skills of immigrants, Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) with English, and Niveaux de Compétence Linguistique Canadiens (NCLC) with French.
In addition to teaching about the language and content of the course always covers topics useful to provide information for new immigrants such as housing, banking, culture, nationality, search jobs...
School time is quite diverse, there are classes full-time, part-time, evening or weekend.
Some centers also support childcare to parents taking the course, or moving vehicles to and from class.
After completing the course, you will be certified. If standard CLB 4 or higher in speaking and listening skills, you can use this certificate to do the certification requirements language when citizenship.
