Date 27/6/2023, The department of immigration, refugees and citizenship (IRCC) announced policy temporarily to bring benefits for foreign workers in Canada. Under this policy, the foreign workers have temporary work permit in Canada is enrolled in courses that do not require a permit learning.
Previously, those who have a work permit need to have a visa/study permit if they want to sign up for a course longer than 6 months. IRCC noticed this hamper for foreign workers in participating in academic programs to support their work. Especially the workers need to have international certification through the specific academic programs.
IRCC will apply to all those who have a work permit or who are still in the renewal permit has effect from the date of 27/ 6 and lasts up to 3 years.
This new policy is a great news for those who want to improve the level of education and further training. those who have a work permit is freely enroll full-time or part-time for a work permit their remains in effect or until the policy expires. However, if foreign workers want to study longer than the duration of the work permit will have to apply for a study permit.
With flexible policy this foreign workers will have more job opportunities in the future, while expanding opportunities to transition to permanent resident status by the increase ranking Points comprehensive (CRS) the ua academic level or advanced work experience.
